Levi is 4 months old!!

I can hardly believe it has been 4 months since Levi joined our family!  It has been a crazy ride, but we are so glad he's ours.  Levi was very fussy and colicky (is that a word?) for the first 10 or 12 weeks, and then has gradually improved since then.  He is now doing so much better-and we couldn't be more thankful!

We went to the pediatrician on Monday.  He weighs 14 lbs. 10 oz, and is 24 inches long.  Both were somewhere in the 30th percentile range.  He cried through his shots, but has been doing great since then, not too fussy and only had a fever for about a day and a half.

He sleeps pretty well, either 5-6 hours and then nurses and sleeps another 5-6 hours or he goes 8-10 hours straight.  About half of the time the former, and half of the time the latter. :)  But, it is lightyears ahead of where he was just a month or two ago -so we'll take it!  He is napping 3 times a day, and is finally falling asleep on his own.  Yay! :)

He can turn from front to back easily, and is almost able to turn fully from back to front.  He just can't figure out how to get that pesky arm out from under his body!  He can scoot a little bit, but doesn't really like to yet-and I'm okay with that! :)  He is also working on sitting up, but is very unsteady.  He's working on keeping up with 2 very active brothers-so he doesn't get left behind!

He loves to smile and laugh, and also loves to be outside-especially if he gets to watch his brothers playing in the yard.  Here are a few pictures of our sweet boy!

Levi loves to lay on my legs and "fly" :)

 Working on his rolling skills.

 Saying hey!

Introducing Levi Philip Knisely!!

We are so excited to announce the arrival of our third son!

Levi Philip Knisely
Born : May 26th at 7:30 am
Weight : 8 lbs. 7 oz.
Length : 20 in.

Proud big brothers Josiah and Caleb!  (Josiah loves this picture because Levi is yawning, even though it looks like he is wailing. :)

We are so thankful that my sister, Leslie (along with her 6 month old son, Silas) were able and willing to come stay with us to help out with Josiah and Caleb while Levi was born, and in the days to follow!

Peacefully sleeping...

Full head of hair!!

Precious baby feet. :)

I had a quick, relatively easy delivery, for which I am so thankful!!  The recovery and adjustment process has also been a good deal easier this time around (so far!:)...    We will go home from the hospital tomorrow, and then the real fun begins!  We are excited to begin life as a family of five.  But, we would covet your thoughts and prayers during this time of transition for all of us! :)

Both sets of grandparents will be here to visit over the next few weeks, and hopefully I will have a chance to post more pictures as we are able to take some with them.

Easter 2012

Happy Easter Everyone!!
Unfortunately we didn't get a family photo today, but I got a few pictures of the boys all dressed up for church.  I also remembered to take a few pictures while the boys did an egg hunt in the house.  Caleb was not happy about wearing the sweater vest-so I let him take it off as soon as we got to church, and he was happy with that. :)

Sad as you can see, but still stylish with his hands in his pockets. (I didn't tell him to do that:)

Josiah, on the other hand, was thrilled about posing for pictures!

 A model in the making...

Caleb went and sat on the neighbor's steps while I took Josiah's pictures, and calmed down a little bit (with his blankies for comfort) but he still didn't want to look at the camera...

Easter egg hunt in the house.

 They LOVED it!!

Much happier without the vest. :)

And a cute one of Josiah from his photo shoot.

We had a great day today!  We had a great morning celebrating the resurrection of Christ with our church family,  and then a small family dinner at home.  A nice relaxing day after a long week.  :)

Pregnancy update:
I am 32 weeks today-only 8 weeks to go!  We are slowly getting things ready, and are looking forward to meeting Levi when he is ready. :)  Things have been pretty smooth lately.  Water and tums are my constant companions, but I can't really complain too much. :)  And here is a picture from tonight...

Job update:
Nathan started a new job this past week!  He is now a business development consultant for Staples.  Basically he finds companies that do not use Staples to provide their office supplies and tries to convince them that they should.  We are excited for his new position, and are thankful that the Lord provided it for him!

I think that's all of the new updates for now.  I'll try to update again sometime soon. :)

All About Caleb

Caleb doesn't voice his "favorites" nearly as much as Josiah, but he usually wants what Josiah wants.  So, some things are similar, but he is also very different in some ways.

Food- Chicken, hot dogs, grapes, go-gurts, and string cheese.  He really doesn't like too much sugar or chocolate-he is his Papa's son. :)
Drink- Juice, smoothies
Color- Green (?-he says a different color every time I ask him, but if Josiah chooses blue, then usually green is left :)
Stuffed animal- He doesn't really have a favorite animal, but he LOVES his two blankies-"boo bankie" and "white bankie"
T.V. Show- Big Big Friend or Go, Diego, Go- "Go Go"

Sayings:
No helps!!- Don't help me
My do it- Let me do it myself
Self!!- Let me do it myself (do you see a pattern? :)
Cabeb- Caleb
Siah- Josiah
Pickles- pretzels --I have no idea why he called pretzels pickles...  But it is consistently that way.
Nak!!- snack
da-der- water

There are lots more words that Caleb doesn't say exactly right-but that's because he is just learning how to say them for the first time!  His vocabulary is exploding right now, and it's so fun to hear him talk more and more each day.

A peek into the life of Josiah :)

Sorry no pictures today, I'll try to do that sometime soon...
Just a few things I want to remember about Josiah, so I can look back at this and smile in the years to come.  I'll do one for Caleb in the weeks to come as well.

Favorites:

Food- Pizza, hot dogs, chocolate (and anything made with sugar:)
Drink- Smoothies or Slurpees
Color- Blue
Teacher- Mrs. McClain
Superhero- Flash
Stuffed animal- his dinosaur, affectionately named "Donna" (it's a boy, but that is how he used to say Dinosaur, and it stuck:)
T.V. Show- Pink Panther and Pals and The Cat in the Hat
Future Job- Crane operator or basketball player
Book- Comic books or National Geographic Little Kids
He loves to wrestle and build forts with Papa and play board games and read books with me

Silly sayings:

Soup-case for suitcase
Upscalator for Escalator
When Josiah gets hurt he says, "See, I told you!"
Igmazing for amazing
He uses the word "too" in the positive instead of the negative.  Like, "It's too delicious!"  rather than "I ate too much".
He often tells me, "Mama, you're the best mama a boy could ever have!"  Talk about melting my heart!:)
He still thinks that girls are boring...I guess that's not a bad thing for now... :)

Josiah is 4!!

Josiah turned 4 today!  I can hardly believe how quickly he is growing up!  He is such a sweet boy, and is so full of life.  He has an amazing memory, is always asking questions, and loves to learn!  His favorite color is blue and he loves pizza, chicken, and anything chocolate.  He is into sports, superheroes, and dinosaurs right now.  I don't know his current height or weight, but his 4 year appt. is in 2 or 3 weeks, so we'll know then.

He had several friends over yesterday to help him celebrate.  I didn't take very many pictures, but here are the ones I did get.

Josiah wanted a Cars cake.  This was as good as I could do! :)  But, thankfully, he is only 4 so he loved it!

The kids all painted a wooden race car as the activity.  It was fun, and very messy!

 Sawyer and Jane painting.

I found some Cars removable wall decals at the party store-very basic, but Josiah and Caleb had fun putting them up.

Opening presents-always the best part of any party! :)  Oliver, Basil, and Caleb were supervising closely-just in case Josiah might need help...

Caleb is Two!!

Caleb turned 2 on November 1st!  He had a party with some of his friends, and everyone had a great time!  I didn't remember to take a lot of pictures, but here are a few.

The Birthday Boy-he tried to eat his candle...surprise, surprise! :)

 Oliver, Josiah, Sawyer and Alex.

Caleb hanging with his buddy Sawyer.  She just turned one in October. :)

Josiah, Oliver, and Basil eating hot dogs.

Josiah enjoying his cake.

Gianna checking out the construction hat.

The next weekend we drove over to Canton to spend the weekend with all of Nathan's family and celebrate an early Thanksgiving.  But, we also had a birthday party for Caleb and Lucas (Nathan's brother-his birthday was on the 9th of Nov.)  This is the amazing cake that Melissa had a friend of the family make for us.  Caleb loved it, and Josiah did too. :)

I think we were singing happy birthday here, but it might be right after we were done...

Josiah and Caleb ate ALL of the little balls in the back of the truck-and it turned their tongues gross colors!

 Enjoying picking apart the cake.

Caleb was so excited about holding this dog that he was trembling as I lifted it off the truck to give to him.  We had to put it on a special plate and kept it for days. :)

Then the boys opened Caleb's presents.  He is still okay with Josiah helping, we'll see if that's still the case next year... :)

Just a cute picture. :)

Caleb is doing great since having tubes put in his ears-he hasn't been sick since then and his speech has improved dramatically.

Josiah started a Mon/Wed/Fri 1/2 day program this Fall.  He loves everything about it, and has made some great friends in his class.

I think that's all for now.  Oh yeah, I'm 11 weeks pregnant, but that shouldn't be news to anyone...  I have felt pretty crummy, but I am trying to be thankful in spite of it-because I know it could be much worse!  And I also know that it should be coming to an end in the next few weeks.  Yay! :)
